I've had to write up an actual policy for reference because this project grew much more than I expected. If there are any questions on anything in here, please email scorpions@radstrike.com.
Because Radix Olympia does not have smart contracts or proper NFT support yet, what you are purchasing here is a reservation for the real Abandoned Scorpion token which will be available when Radix Babylon launches. The SCORP tokens on olympia are not NFTs themselves, they are fungible tokens that represent ownership of a reservation, but which token it represents is recorded on-ledger in the transaction message. That is to say: as a general rule, every transaction in which the Abandoned Scorpions wallet sent SCORP tokens with the corresponding numbers in the transaction message means that reservation is confirmed and can be seen on-ledger. There are a few exceptions to this rule from early on, when bugs with the server script were being ironed out. I'm auditing the ledger using a script that takes these few exceptions into account—this will be released publicly at some point so you can confirm which ones belong to who. It validates that the reserved.json file from the site matches what is derived from the ledger.
If you purchase a scorpion that has already been reserved, and you do not receive a SCORP token as a result, you will receive a refund. Refunds are typically issued within 3 days, but are handled manually, so if yours was missed please let me know. Emailing scorpions@radstrike.com is the easiest way to get in touch. Refunds may be subject to a -1 xrd fee to cover the transaction cost and inconvenience.
Because of the nature of SCORP tokens and how the reservations are handled by processing on-ledger transaction messages, trading must be handled in a specific way to maintain a record of which scorpion belongs to which radix wallet. Please see the trading instructions for more info. Attempting to trading SCORP tokens without following the instructions exactly may lead to loss of the reservation. Trades of reservations are subject to a 10% royalty fee or a flat 10 xrd fee, whichever is higher.
Once Radix Babylon launches, the Abandoned Scorpions series will be minted. It is your responsibility to trade in your SCORP tokens for the NFT within 90 days of minting. The process for this is to be decided, but I will do everything I can to make sure it is straight-forward. The reason for the time limit is because it's difficult to maintain the pre-smart contract reservation records and I cannot commit to doing so indefinitely. If there are any reservations left unclaimed at that point, they will be released or sold to the public in some way to be decided then.
If you own a reservation for a scorpion, you may use that scorpion's art for any purposes you wish, commercial or otherwise. I, or whoever the Abandoned Scorpions project owner may be in the future, reserve the right to use any of the art from this project for personal or promotional purposes, i.e. in a portfolio or as an advertisement for the project itself. If you do not claim the minted NFT on Olympia, and your reservation is returned, you also lose the rights to use of that scorpion's art. I am not personally responsible for enforcement of these rules, nor am I responsible for any damages if they are broken. You are on your own for that one.
It should go without saying, but the art here is copyright 2021 Radical Strikers Team (@korone_stan), and whether you own the NFT or not, you are not permitted to mint (whether on Radix or any other ledger) another NFT by duplicating the art from this project. An exception may be made for satire, parody, or remixes, as long as the resulting work can be distinguished as an original creation.
On December 15, 2021, I'll be sending a random scorpion for every Radical Strikers Genesis Rifle bought up until then. Basically, however many RSGR tokens you have, that's how many random scorpions you will receive. The airdrop will only happen once and only applies to Genesis Rifles purchased/received prior to the airdrop.
It should go without saying, but I nor Radix nor anyone but you are responsible if you lose your SCORP tokens or wallet access, or get scammed out of them, or whatever. Please be cautious and safe when handling all your crypto affairs, scorpions included.
Because the reservations work as kind of pseudo-NFTs running on Olympia until Babylon is released, all I can guarantee is that there are 10,000 SCORP tokens and each one will be tradable for a real Abandoned Scorpion NFT within a year after Babylon launches. There have been a few bugs found in my system where some scorpions were "double spent", all of which I believe have been fixed. However, I cannot guaruntee you will receive the scorpion you reserved if another error like this is found. I will do my best to make it up to you if this does happen, but I cannot make promises as to how the situation will resolve.
